KAT
UI/UX Designer with a background in team management. Certificates in UI/UX from DesignLab and the University of Denver with skills in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), jQuery, Bootstrap, and Figma. Specializing in user research, user testing & feedback, animations, wireframing/prototyping, problem solving, and quality assurance. Enjoys all mediums of art, from drawing and sculpting to playing several instruments to digital art and design.
Always tries to see from others' perspectives. Compassion and empathy for others has instilled a strong desire for problem solving. Values creating user-centered designs. Interests in many branches of UI/UX Design and seeks to learn more about them.
My favorite project was re-designing a site for a local cat café. Our team of four used Figma and Adobe Suite, User Research, and User Testing to design a beautiful and intuitive experience for users to schedule appointments and see the cats currently up for adoption.
USDA Government Website Redesign
Government websites can be a lot of clutter and information to take in. The goal here was to make menus easier to navigate, design content to be easily digestible, and create responsive web design across all devices.
EZ Rider
This ride service app offers safe rides home for people who cannot drive due to intoxication. Users can easily request a ride by pressing the "Take Me Home" button. The team includes four members who prioritize the safety of all passengers and other drivers on the road.
Safe Travels App
People, especially families, want travel apps that are more oriented around safety. Safe Travels prrovides users with more safety information, filters options, and features when planning a safe travel and lodging experience.

With these courses I was able to learn more intermediate level understanding with UX Design and learn more about the UI side of things as well. Here is where I really honed in on everything UI/UX. Here I was able to learn the basics of coding HTML, CSS, jQuery, Media Query, and Bootstrap. Besides being taught more about design along with homework, we also had projects. Working individually and in groups, I worked on 6 projects and building case studies for each. One project we got to interact with a real client from a non-profit organization for a website redesign for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
